Three Life/Homeschool Rules

“If you don’t go after what you want, you will never have it.”

Simply put, you can’t get what you want or get to where you want to be by doing nothing. You have to be actively seeking out what you want. Steadily pushing towards the end. This is especially great for Young people to adapt to their lives. Some people, like me, tend to let fear get in the way. I had to push that fear aside, and just go for it!

“If you don’t ask, the answer will always be No”

A lot of times people tend to automatically assume the answer will always be No. Before asking, they just assume people will answer with a “No” response. For instance, before even asking your family, or friends if they may be interested in doing a certain activity or event, you may assume they won’t want to, so you never bother to ask. By doing this, you are letting opportunities pass you, and your family by. The answer may still be “No”, but what if it’s a “Yes”?

“If you don’t step forward, you will always be in the same place.”

A lot of times, we sit and wish we had a better life, or better home, or that we had more opportunities to do, things. But that’s the problem, we are just sitting around and wishing for a better life. In order to obtain that better life, or opportunity we have to actively seeking it out. This may mean we have to take baby steps, but so long as we keep moving, we will eventually get to where we need to be. This makes me think about Dory, from Finding Nemo. She may have been going in circles, but at least she “Just kept Swimming.” Try to adapt that “Just keep Swimming” mentality to your life. Like Dory, we may go in circles for a while, but we will get what we want eventually. Another word for this is persistence. One of my favorite words!

Anyways, I hope you take time to really contimplate these three rules and find ways to adapt them to your daily Life and Homeschool. And if you need a daily reminder, be sure to grab this free poster you can print out and hang up in your house!
