I Survived Books: This historical fiction series, currently at 19 books, tells stories of young men and women surviving a variety of natural and man-made disasters throughout History. We recently found the whole collection in our local Library. My youngest is very intrigued by them!
There are also Notebooking Pages to accompany them:
These notebooking pages provide space to answer questions about each event, draw a picture of the event, record new vocabulary words, sequence the event, as well as compare and contrast it with other similar events. A writing prompt is also included for each book. These will work with History Lessons, or Literature Studies. There are many Resources available for going further with these books. Some can be found on Teachers Pay Teacher, Pinterest, and our favorite, Peanut Butter Fish Lessons!
Download a copy of the Notebooking Pages at Peanut Butter Fish Lessons Blog by clicking on the link at the bottom of the post.
